Surjo Soedakar

Soekadar, born 4th July 1977 in Wiesbaden, Germany, studied medicine at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University of Mainz, Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, USA. Doctoral thesis at the department of neuropsychology under the advisory of Herta Flor with emphasis on neuroplasticity and phantom limp pain. Surjo R. Soekadar is very engaged in the field of international co-operation and leads a working group that deals with the construction and organisation of health care centres within poor countries.
Since 2000 fellow of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, co-founder and member of Board of the Global Contract Foundation (Stiftung Weltvertrag, Hamburg), member of board of the organisation “Options for Life International” (Lebensschancen International, Augsburg), member of a network that aims with the WHO at improving physician’s education in poorer countries.
Surjo R. Soekadar is intensively engaged with the political realization and the design of a global eco-social development plan and worked out the first concept of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative. In December 2003 he became the youngest creative member of the Club of Budapest.
